AUTUMN SANGRIA TIME

I feel autumn in the air.  The weather is crisp, the mums are coming out around town and a very few trees are starting to sport a touch of color.  I am so excited!!   As much as I love all of the seasons…..I have a soft spot in my heart for Autumn. It just feels so good.

We like to tip our hat to autumn with our Autumn Sangrias. The first is our red sangria made with Granacha, cranberry apple cider and spiced rum.  Our white sangria is made with Gewurztraminer, spiced apple cider and spiced rum.  They make you think of sunshine, apple picking and fun.

Of course we hope to see you and share our fun cocktails with you but if you can’t make it here…..just take some time to look around and watch the colorful show that nature has in store for us.

See you soon,

Melody

BLUEBERRY COBBLER…..YUM

Hi Everyone,

Well….has this been the most beautiful summer ever or what?  I almost hate to come to work….. Ok…who am I kidding?  Love it here!!

Mark is celebrating summer in his own way by making Blueberry Cobbler.  It takes about 20 minutes to bake but is worth every minute. He tops it off with Vanilla Ice Cream and well….double dare you to not close your eyes with the first bite.  He made one for all of us to taste and it was gone so fast I barely had time to blink.  I really enjoyed my one bite.

I don’t know how long they will last so be sure to ask for one before they are gone.

Enjoy your summer, go on a picnic….or call me,

Melody

SUMMERTIME

Summer in Manchester!  Wow!  I mean…..Wow!

Even now as I look out my window I see the prettiest Robin just belting out a tune., and don’t even get me started on all of the beautiful flowers everywhere.  I have even been feeling pretty smug about my slim gardening skills.   Manchester has a wonderful way of making the most of every season.  I like to do my part to celebrate the seasons and so for summer I have a Watermelon Martini.  We use chunks of  juicy red watermelon that we shake in the shaker with the other ingredients.          I have no words.

Ok….maybe I do…..Summer fresh, delicious, crazy good.  What a great way to start your dining experience with us.

Call me!!!

Melody

Lovely Manchester

GREEN, VERDANT, VERDE, EMERELD…..everywhere you look.   Manchester, nestled in the mountains, has come to life after a long, beautiful winter.  I love the changes here and can barely register one season before we are on to the next.  The hiking trails are incredible.  Seriously….if you get the chance to take some time away….this is the place to be.

Mark is spending a lot of time in the kitchen preparing some amazing things.   I will be the first to say that my small attempt at dieting is just plain silly.  He has added to the menu a Seafood Crepe.  It is filled with chunks of Salmon & Cod sautéed in a light dill cream sauce and yes….it is as good as it sounds.   I love it with a glass of Bila-Hout, Cotes du Roussillon.  This is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenach Gris & Macabeu.   Two words…..luscious peach.     I know!!!

We would love to see you, and if you can’t find the time just now….plant a flower and feel the green.

Happy Spring,

Melody

NEW MENU ITEMS

Hi Everyone!

We are so excited to be back from our vacation.   Mark is so happy we are finished with our restaurant refreshing.   He loves to cook… but painting….not so much.

We  had a wonderful time and traveled to three different cities and Mark found so many different inspirations for the menu.

Here is an appetizer teaser:  Sautéed Oyster Mushrooms with onion, garlic, chopped figs & goat cheese.  I am not kidding!

We have had fun the last two days tasting them and we hope you will  enjoy the changes to the menu…..we are!!!

Can’t wait to see you,

Melody
